This was a repeat customer of ours whose house we had been out to for many projects, from basement and crawlspace waterproofing to a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier install to this project here, which was an install of our SilverGlo insulation and RimTight, rim joist insulation. SilverGlo is made up of Polystyrene foam with graphite and features a radiant barrier that will reflect heat back into your crawlspace which in turn not only keeps the crawlspace warmer in the winter months, but the floors above the crawlspace as well.

Before Basement Systems USA came out to install the SilverGlo insulation, this customer had fiberglass insulation. This insulation will not seal off humidity, so when it becomes humid, the insulation will soak up the moisture and eventually cause it to start falling from the crawlspace ceiling.

Install of Insulation

Not only will installing SilverGlo in your crawlspace keep both the crawlspace and floors above warm for the winter months, it can also cut back on your cost of heating for those months as well.
