Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawlspace Makeover in Willow Street PA
We received a call from this PA customer who had recently had a home inspection done, and on their report, it stated the insulation in the crawlspace was improperly installed and would need to be removed and reinstalled.
We sent our inspector, Keith Miller out to this crawlspace for a free assessment and he discovered not only the insulation was falling down but moisture and humidity were also present in the crawlspace.
Our recommendations and the work that we did in this crawlspace were as follows.
1. Our main reason for being out at the property was to get rid of all the old insulation, once that was taken down we did a Mold X2 Treatment to clean and treat any visible mold and then we installed our SilverGlo insulation.
2. We installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier
3. Finally, to help control the humidity in the crawlspace, we installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.
Improperly installed insulation
Here you can see the original insulation installed in the crawlspace is falling down
Damp Crawlspace
The original crawlspace had a gravel floor with plastic thrown over top to act as a vapor barrier, this barrier was not working and allowed the crawlspace to accumulate moisture.
SilverGlo Insulation
Our SilverGlo Insulation panels feature a radiant barrier that reflects heat back in to your crawlspace.
Dehumidifier
Our SaniDry Sedona will dry and filter the air in the crawlspace, eliminating damp and musty odors.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
Cleanspace will stop any water vapors from entering in to the crawlspace.
