Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Chestertown MD Crawlspace Encapsulation

This customer just purchased this home and reached out to Basement Systems USA to encapsulate the damp crawlspace. There was currently a vapor barrier installed on the floor of the crawlspace, but moisture was still getting in to the crawlspace and feared after some time, the insulation would eventually begin to get damp and fall and mold could begin to grow. We came out and did a full crawlspace encapsulation with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, that included wall to floor coverage and even wrapped the piers. We installed a SmartSump, IceGuard, Vent Covers an Everlast Crawlspace Door and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.

Original Vapor Barrier

Here was the new homeowners current crawlspace, there was a vapor barrier in play over the floor of the crawlspace, but that does not stop moisture from coming in through the block foundation walls.

Encapsulation

Here we have installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, we installed on both the floor and wall and also wrapped the piers.

SmartSump

The SmartSump has a high quality 1/3 HP cast iron Zoeller pump and features an automatic float switch and a sounding WaterWatch alarm.

EverLast Door

Here we have installed our EverLast crawlspace door, this door will not warp or crack and because of the heavy duty weatherstripping that comes with the door, this makes a nice airtight seal.
