Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: RimTight in Wilmington, DE
In this dirt floor crawl space the owner was in need of sealing up a entry way due to the cold drifts coming up into the home. We laid out a thermal mat to capture the air coming up into the crawl space then we sprayed foam that will tightly seal the entrance. Once our spray foam dried we boarded up the area that fully seals the gaps which will prevent the air coming in and overall help conserve energy in the long run.
Removal
In the corner of the home is a vent that allows air into the crawl space creating draft up into the home also known as the stack effect.
Spray Foam
After laying down the thermal matting on the inside we sprayed foam that will close any gaps and fully seal the opening
Closure
After the spray foam drys the team boarded up the entrance which will fully be sealed and no more cold drifts coming into the space
