Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Insulating A Crawl Space In Baltimore, MD

This Baltimore, MD homeowner called Basement Systems looking for a solution to insulate their crawl space. During the colder months of the year, the kitchen floors, above this area, would be freezing cold and the pipes would freeze. Our SilverGlo insulated wall panels not only have a built in radiant heat barrier, but they also provide a vapor barrier system. This is because SilverGlo is made of waterproof polystyrene insulation. Pairing our SilverGlo with our CleanSpace and Drainage matting make up the perfect insulated waterproofing system for any crawlspace. To finalize this project we installed brand new vent covers and a brand new 2.5'x4' crawlspace door. This crawlspace is now ready for the challenge those cold winter months will bring!

Original Crawlspace Access

As you can see with this old crawlspace door, there are gaps between the door and frame which allows cold air in the winter months and humid air in the warmer months, to get into the crawlspace.
