Darlington's Basement Waterproofing Contractor

Basement Systems USA is the local, family owned contractor in Darlington for waterproofing, finishing, and crawl space repair. With over 75 years combined experience and a full-time, professional staff we are ready to serve you and improve your home.

Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair in Darlington

Flooding, water seepage or even high humidity can quickly result in mold growth and water damage in your basement or crawl space. We prevent this from happening by installing an interior drainage system in the basement that is connected to a high volume sump pump. Any water that makes it to the basement is collected and pumped out of the home without you even noticing.

Just like the basement, in the crawl space we similarly place a sump pump system and dehumidifier to prevent water issues. The entire area is encapsulated with vapor barrier to prevent mold growth. Our crawl space system comes with a 25-year warranty.

We Provide:
  • Basement Waterproofing
  • Crawl Space Encapsulation
  • Exclusive, Patented Products
  • Humidity Control
  • Structural Repair
  • Basement Egress Windows
You Receive:
  • Permanently Dry Basement
  • Clean Protected Crawlspace
  • Protection against Mold
  • Improved Home Value

If the walls of the basement or bowing inwards we install wall anchors or braces to straighten the walls. If the floor above the crawl space is sagging we install SmartJack support jacks to raise the floor back to a level position. Our Darlington waterproofing systems come with lifetime warranties.

Basement Finishing & Remodeling in Darlington, MD

Waterproofing your basement prevents outside water from coming in but what if a pipe bursts or the water heater leaks inside the home. A newly finished basement done by your average contractor will mold and rot if there is an internal leak. You'll have to tear out your new basement! We fix this issue.

Our Products Include :
  • Waterproof, washable, insulated walls
  • Mold-Resistant, No-Sag suspended ceiling
  • Modular carpet, tile & faux wood flooring
  • Basement egress windows

  • Energy-efficient, double-paned basement windows
  • Attractive Sunhouse basement window wells
  • French, bifold, louvre & six-paneled steel doors

Unlike the average Darlington contractor we use completely inorganic, waterproof materials. Even if the basement floods your walls and floors will not be damaged by the water. These waterproof products are patented and are built to create an attractive finished basement that lasts a lifetime.

Job Stories From Darlington, MD
Foundation Repair in Darlington, MD

When Hurricane Ida unleashed its fury on Darlington, MD, it didn’t spare the homes in its path, including a beautifully finished basement that turned into a nightmare for a homeowner when water started pouring in from all four corners. Amid the stress and splash, the homeowner managed to bail out about 16 buckets of water, desperately hoping to salvage what was once a cozy, inviting space. Our System Design Specialist visited the home, meticulously inspecting the damage. It was clear that the cinder blo

ck foundation of the home was no match for the ferocity of Hurricane Ida. Our expert proposed a robust solution to guard against future wet disasters: the installation of the PowerBrace system.

Waterproofing in Darlington, MD
Recently, at Basement Systems USA, we had the opportunity to help a homeowner in Darlington, MD, with a particularly urgent situation. They were in the middle of a property transaction and encountered a hiccup: the bank required the installation of a moisture barrier in the crawl space of an old foundation that spans roughly 392 sqft. This requirement was a major hurdle in closing the deal, and with settlement looming, time was of the essence. Upon contacting our team, we immediately set to work. Our initial step was to dispatch a System Design Specialist to assess the situation firsthand. After a thorough inspection, it was clear that our PowerBrace system would provide the ideal solution. PowerBrace is designed not only to support walls and foundations but to prevent moisture intrusion, something essential for this home's old foundation.

Power Braces for Bowing Walls in Darlington, MD

When a homeowner in Darlington, MD, noticed bowing in the 12-inch block foundation of their walkout basement, they reached out to us at Basement Systems USA for help. Understanding the urgency of their situation, we set them up quickly for an in-depth home inspection. Our System Design Specialist visited the homeowner, keenly analyzed the problem, and discerned that the bowing walls signaled a foundational issue that needed immediate attention. We recommended installing our PowerBrace system - a sturdy, adjustable steel wall bracing system designed specifically to stabilize and gradually straighten bowing or buckling foundation walls. Once our solution was agreed upon, our production team, consisting of a knowledgeable foreman and skilled installers, got to work.

I would like to have my basement checked. It has more water seepage than usual. I also would like to have the walls and floor checked for mold or damage. The basement also has a french drain. That does not seem to work.

In May 2017, I purchased a pargeted stone farmhouse built around 1875 in Darlington, MD. In a torrential downpour in July, the first floor "flooded." (The slab-on-grade house has no basement or crawl space, but the house is built against a hill and the area where water intruded is below grade.) Grading, swale, exterior stucco repair, and gutter additions have all been completed by professional contractors since. But we are potentially interested in waterproofing from the inside as well. I would like a professional's opinion and estimate. (P.S. My fiance, Ty Lewis also lefta voice mail message requesting a free estimate for this address yesterday.) Thanks!
