Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair in North East

Flooding, water seepage or even high humidity can quickly result in mold growth and water damage in your basement or crawl space. We prevent this from happening by installing an interior drainage system in the basement that is connected to a high volume sump pump. Any water that makes it to the basement is collected and pumped out of the home without you even noticing.

Just like the basement, in the crawl space we similarly place a sump pump system and dehumidifier to prevent water issues. The entire area is encapsulated with vapor barrier to prevent mold growth. Our crawl space system comes with a 25-year warranty.

We Provide:
  • Basement Waterproofing
  • Crawl Space Encapsulation
  • Exclusive, Patented Products
  • Humidity Control
  • Structural Repair
  • Basement Egress Windows
You Receive:
  • Permanently Dry Basement
  • Clean Protected Crawlspace
  • Protection against Mold
  • Improved Home Value

If the walls of the basement or bowing inwards we install wall anchors or braces to straighten the walls. If the floor above the crawl space is sagging we install SmartJack support jacks to raise the floor back to a level position. Our North East waterproofing systems come with lifetime warranties.

Basement Finishing & Remodeling in North East, MD

Waterproofing your basement prevents outside water from coming in but what if a pipe bursts or the water heater leaks inside the home. A newly finished basement done by your average contractor will mold and rot if there is an internal leak. You'll have to tear out your new basement! We fix this issue.

Our Products Include :
  • Waterproof, washable, insulated walls
  • Mold-Resistant, No-Sag suspended ceiling
  • Modular carpet, tile & faux wood flooring
  • Basement egress windows

  • Energy-efficient, double-paned basement windows
  • Attractive Sunhouse basement window wells
  • French, bifold, louvre & six-paneled steel doors

Unlike the average North East contractor we use completely inorganic, waterproof materials. Even if the basement floods your walls and floors will not be damaged by the water. These waterproof products are patented and are built to create an attractive finished basement that lasts a lifetime.

After this repeat customer hired us for their basement waterproofing needs, they chose for us to restore their basement with our mold-resistant Total Basement Finishing (TBF) finished panels.

First, we removed the flooring around the perimeter as well as cutting the wall in order to install our WaterGuard drainage system so that the basement would not longer leak. The customer wanted the ultimate protection for their beautiful basement, so they had us install our TripleSafe three-pump system which includes a battery backup in the event of a power or pump failure.

Once the basement is no longer in danger from water seepage, we were able to put the basement back together again using our special inorganic wallboard called EverLast walls. These walls are guaranteed again water and mold damage.

The results are easy to see. After repairing the basement with the right materials, the basement is not only dry but is pleasing to the eye!

Basement Moisture Issues in Northeast, MD

A homeowner in North East, Maryland, reached out to Basement Systems USA after noticing moisture accumulating in the finished basement’s bedroom, particularly after rainstorms. Initially, the homeowner believed the issue stemmed from the roof, which was promptly repaired. However, when the moisture problem persisted, further investigation revealed that the water was seeping up from the foundation.

Basement Systems USA performed a thorough inspection of the property and discovered that the foundation’s lack of proper waterproofing was the real culprit. To address the problem, we recommended the installation of a WaterGuard drainage system, which effectively collects water before it can seep into the basement, diverting it away from the foundation. In addition, a TripleSafe sump pump system was installed, offering triple-layered protection against water intrusion. For added security, IceGuard was installed to prevent water backup in case the discharge line freezes, and CleanSpace Wall, a vapor barrier, was placed along the basement walls to seal out any remaining moisture.

Following these installations, we also conducted restorative work on areas previously damaged by water. The homeowner was extremely satisfied with the comprehensive approach, noticing an immediate improvement in their basement environment and peace of mind during future storms.

Project Location: North East, MD
There is a recurring sinkhole in the front of my house that appears to be tied to my basement. My house was built in 1975 and the basement has a gap around the perimeter of the floor slab between the slab and the cinder block walls. I finished this part of my basement about 5 years ago so I cannot see where water/soil might be entering the basement and creating the sinkhole. I think that the exterior needs to be excavated to see whether a whole, crack or other opening can be filled to prevent migration of the water/soil into my basement.
