Any water that makes it to the basement is collected and pumped out of the home without you even noticing.
Just like the basement, in the crawl space we similarly place a sump pump system and dehumidifier to prevent water issues. The entire area is encapsulated with vapor barrier to prevent mold growth. Our crawl space system comes with a 25-year warranty.

They knew this was a problem they didn’t want to ignore, so they reached out to us for help. After contacting our Customer Care team, we scheduled a thorough home inspection to understand the root of the problem better. Our System Design Specialist visited the homeowner's property, inspected the basement, and diagnosed the issue. Finally, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was set up to maintain a healthy humindity. Throughout the process, we made sure to keep the area tidy, cleaning up diligently after each step was complete. A homeowner in Wilmington, Delaware, reached out to us at Basement Systems USA, frustrated by water constantly seeping into one corner of her basement. Every time it rained heavily, she said, the water would pool near the wall and almost flood the area. Our team inspected the situation thoroughly, noting the water pathways and areas of weakness. We determined that the best approach would be to install a WaterGuard system, a CleanSpace Wally 36-inch liner, and a CleanSpace encapsulation system for the crawl space.
The WaterGuard system is a key solution here, acting as an underground drainage track that catches water before it can reach the basement floor. By guiding the water toward a sump pump, it keeps the space dry and prevents flooding. We also installed a CleanSpace Wally 36-inch, a durable liner that protects the basement walls from moisture while improving air quality. For additional protection, we extended CleanSpace encapsulation into the crawl space, which acts as a powerful barrier against outside humidity and moisture.
With all these systems in place, the basement is now fully protected, and the homeowner is relieved to have a dry, secure space, rain or shine.
When a homeowner in Wilmington, Delaware reached out to Basement Systems USA, they were dealing with a range of dampness issues in their unfinished basement and crawl space. Heavy rains frequently caused water to pool in the crawl space, leaving the concrete floor damp and allowing mold to start forming on the walls. While they already had a sump pump, they weren’t confident it was effectively handling the water or keeping the space as dry as it should be.
We knew this type of situation required a comprehensive approach to address the water intrusion and protect their home long-term. After a full assessment, our team recommended a CleanSpace encapsulation system with drainage matting for the crawl space to seal it off and prevent future moisture build-up. To tackle the existing mold, we used our specialized Mold-X treatment to safely and thoroughly treat affected surfaces. To manage humidity levels, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, ensuring that the air quality remained healthy and mold wouldn’t make a return. We also applied our CarbonArmor spray foam insulation to seal any cracks and help with energy efficiency. By the end, the crawl space and basement were completely transformed, creating a cleaner, healthier environment for the homeowner.
In Wilmington, DE, a homeowner was puzzled by the unwelcome water intrusion into their unfinished basement, noticing it primarily during rainfall but unable to trace its exact entry points. Despite their efforts to find a leak from the ceiling or any plumbing issues, they were unable to pinpoint the source. Our team conducted a thorough inspection and discovered the origin of the water. We recommended a combination of waterproofing solutions, including WaterGuard, which would keep the basement dry by capturing water that seeps in through walls and directing it to a sump pump, and the FlexiSpan system, which would seal any wall cracks to stop leaks, adapting to foundation movement while preventing further water intrusion. Together, these solutions help maintain a dry basement, protecting the home's foundation from water damage.

Like many homes in the region, their new property was suffering from an inadequately protected crawlspace, a common issue that can impact comfort, air quality, and energy efficiency in homes. This partially finished basement often had water come in due to heavy rains. Water seepage mostly occurred in the unfinished portion of the basement. Our team installed our WaterGuard drainage system along the footer of the unfinished section of the basement.
There were several problems with this complicated, multi level, home in Wilmington, DE.
First, the deck boards on the front of the home were painted closed and no longer allowed water to drain in between them. As a result, the customer would have several inches of rain build up on the deck, which then leaked into the home and caused the lower level drop ceiling to get damaged. To solve this issue, we had to rip up the old deck boards and replace them with new, pressure treated boards with spaces in between each board so that the water could properly drain. Problem solved.
There was also a problem with sub-flooring in the basement. There was no vapout barrier on the dirt floor below the plywood. This caused a constant moisture problem which resulted in the floor and joist rotting. We ripped out the old floor and the joist and installed a drainage system along with the CleanSpace Vapor barrier so that the space would be dry. No more high mosture levels under the floor. Then we reinstalled the joist and the floor decking.
There was also an adjacent crawlspace with mold all over the joists due to high levels of moisture. The primary reason for the mold was that the existing vapor barrier was only 6-mill poly plastic, which could not keep the moisture from the ground from leaking into the crawlspace and causing high humidity levels. We did a full mold remediation job on the whole CralwSpace. A new SmartSump was installed to make sure we could control water seepage under the vapor barrier. We installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to make sure that the ground was properly sealed off. We also installed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifer to make sure that the remaining air in the crawlspace would always stay dry. We spray foamed the ban-board/sil-plate area and some above ground framed walls to keep the cold air out. We also replaced the old, leaky, crawlspace door with the airtight EverLast door to keep the humid and cold air out.
To finish it off, we repaired the water damaged drop ceiling on the first floor. This job tool about 7 days and came out beautifully. Most importantly, all the customer problems of mold, rot, high humidity, water seepage and bad insulation have been resolved.
This little crawlspace was moldy, damp, and cold. The problem was that it was vented to the outside which lets cold and wet air into the crawlspace. It also had fiberglass insulation in the ceiling, which is the worst product to install in damp areas. Fiberglass is organic and will suck the moisture out of the air and then grow mold. The floor was also missing a vapor barrier. This means moisture from the ground can evaporate into the crawlspace. We had the solution; we closed the vent and removed the fiberglass insulation in the ceiling. Then we insulated the perimeter walls with SilverGlow foam board. We also installed Drainage matting and the CleanSpace vapor barrier over the floor. The crawlspace is now t clean, dry, mold and odor free.
This basement was very wet and damp and looked like an un-usable dungeon. It would be a bad idea to use traditional basement finishing matrials like drywall in this basement because you would have mol din no time.
We first made sure that the basement was waterpoofed with our Wateguard waterpoofing system. The we used in-organic materials to finish the basement. TBF everlast walls not only look beautifull, they also com ewith a 50-year guarantee against water or mold damge. The flooring is also waterpoof and even the ceiling tiles are made of an inorganic material and come with a30 year guarantee. The space was small but it turned out great. Can you imagine the difference in home value this job made?

This customer’s leaking basement was a big problem. We installed our SuperSump sump pump for him which will pump up to 2280 gallons an hour while preventing further water leakage or other outside elements. Our TrenchDrain and WaterGuard systems will capture water seepage and take it to the sump pump so that the basement stays dry even in heavy weather conditions. The ZenWall basement paneling system also provides walls that are a moisture barrier, capture water seepage and improve energy efficiency in the basement. The homeowner now uses the SmartSump system that will alert him of any problems it's experiencing as well as the Cleanspace vapor barrier that prevents moisture and outside elements from entering his crawlspace. The homeowner also chose to have us install a new SaniDry dehumidifier as well as our IceGuard discharge system which will ensure his crawlspace stays dry in the winter months. By installing all of these products, we were able to prepare this customer for any situation, protecting his crawlspace from mold, flooding and other outside factors.
