This Pylesville homeowner contacted Basement Systems USA for basement waterproofing. They stated with a heavier rainfall water would come in through one wall of the unfinished basement. Currently the only waterproofing system in play was a sump pump, but a sump pump will not work if the water getting in to the basement, can not make its way over to be pumped out. Our solution to this wet problem was to install our CleanSpace Vapor barrier and Waterguard around the problematic wall. The CleanSpace and Waterguard will work together to get the water coming in through the wall, over to the SuperSump Pump we installed as well.
When a family in Pylesville, Maryland, started noticing recurring moisture in their basement, they were concerned about potential damage to their home. They wanted a safe, dry space that they could utilize fully, so they reached out to us at Basement Systems USA for help. Their basement walls showed signs of water infiltration, particularly after heavy rains, and they knew it was time to make a change. The basement walls revealed clear signs of moisture, with small pools of water forming near the foundation during each rainstorm. After assessing the situation, we proposed a comprehensive waterproofing solution that included installing our high-capacity sump pump system, paired with an effective perimeter drainage system. This system would intercept any water before it could collect on the floor.
The transformation was remarkable. With the installation complete, the homeowner could finally enjoy a basement free of dampness and odors.
This customer was experiencing water on the basement floor every time it was raining, and even though he had a sump pump, it just could not keep up with the amount of water getting in to the basement. We came out and installed our SuperSump Pump which is equipped with a 1/3HP Zoeller cast iron pump which pumps out 2,650 gallons per hour, the SuperSump is also equipped ith a WaterWatch Alarm System which will sound off if water rises above the point where the pump should turn on, a SuperLiner that has 96 holes that allows water to flow in directly below the floor and an Airtight Lid that keeps out bugs, odors and radon gas.
This customer was having a few issues with the foundation in the basement, first the customer had Verticle cracks starting from the floor and going up to the top of the wall, to stabilize this wall we used our Carbon Armour Strip system which will strengthen and stabilze the wall over time. The second issue was water seeping in through the porous block foundation everytime it would rain. Our waterproofing solution was to install a Cleanspace Vapor Barrier,a Trench drain at the entrance of the outside door, Waterguard along the basement perimeter and a SuperSump Pump.
This crawlspace was damp and water would seep in through the block walls and down to the dirt floor. We came out and installed a Cleanspace Vapor barrier, Drainage Matting, Silver Glo insulation and a SaniDry CX Dehumidifier.
