This homeowner was interested in a crawlspace encapsulation and reached out to us to get the job done. This crawlspace had a dirt floor and issues with dampness. The customer was primarily concerned about mold becoming an issue. We started this job by removing the old insulation and replacing it with SilverGlo insulated wall panels. These panels are made with completely inorganic materials, and will not absorb moisture or support the growth of mold, rot, or mildew. This customer had a dirt floor crawlspace that she wanted to waterproof and encapsulate. We started this installation with removing debris and regrading the ground to redirect water towards the sump pump system. Next, we installed a SmartPipe crawlspace drainage system and added an IceGuard to the drainage line for extra protection from flooding during the cold seasons. Then we encapsulated the crawlspace using our CleanSpace vapor barrier.
